this is a quick, sweet read that leaves you anticipating the follow up books.
max is so sweet and ready for a real, lasting relationship…he’s looking for something great. he first befriends jenna as he begins to worm his way into her heart. the treats he gives her are heart-melting.
jenna’s history with men has made her a bit gun shy…which is why she is in a pseudo-relationship with a safe man. when she meets max she feels things she’s never felt. she is scared to go out with him because she feels so much for him. she comes out of her shell as she gets to know max better. as she blossoms in her relationship, she realizes that max is her something great.
this story is a little predictable but still an entertaining read. there were times i thought the dialog was a bit elementary while the rest of the writing was really good. the conflict/agnst wasn’t too much – the first issue they have is a bit heartbreaking but they overcome it quickly.
becky and matthew are great supporting characters whom i’m highly anticipating in book 2.
this series is definitely worth a read!
