When an employee invites him to a dinner party to meet his girlfriend, Deacon smells a setup but agrees anyway. He prides himself on being an excellent judge of character, and when he meets the younger dentist, he sees past the chair and finds a sweet submissive man who more than piques his interest.
Kade’s fears and demons continue to haunt him, challenging Deacon to use everything he’s learned as a Dom to earn Kade’s trust and submission. Deacon’s determined, though, willing to battle all of it to have Kade by his side and at his feet.
Excerpt:
KADE WOKE to bright sunlight streaking across his room and bed. He shifted to his back, closed his eyes, and stretched as best he could, arching as he reached above his head as far as possible. Eyes open again, he noted the time. The alarm wasn’t set, not for a Sunday, but still, he was surprised to see it was only eight.
He thought back to the previous night. Well, specifically to the part where he and Deacon had spoken outside by his car. Kade still couldn’t wrap his mind around the idea someone as handsome, powerful, and obviously determined as Deacon seemed would want to take on a broken sub, but he’d be thankful for whatever insanity afflicted Deacon, if only for a short time. Part of him hoped that somehow this new relationship would work.
Rolling over onto his side, Kade focused on how Deacon had taken his hands into his strong one. The way he’d squatted down to be at his level to converse, not just towering over him. Honestly, he’d liked that part to a point, as he’d needed the reassurance right then. He could admit that, not that he wanted to, but he’d needed to know Deacon cared enough not to just want him for sex, but would take care of him too.
That was the part he most needed to be true. That Deacon would really want him. That he’d be willing to work around Kade’s limitations. His thoughts snagged on the concept of limits. Deacon had said they would discuss limits. He hadn’t had many back when he was clubbing, so he’d not thought of them in a couple of years. Turning his focus to what might be expected or wanted, his mind raced with the possibilities.
Once upon a time, he had loved everything from binding and spankings to the cane and extended denial. Kade doubted even a Dom willing to work with his issues would be willing to do much along those lines. When he’d been going through rehab and the surgeries, Kade had truly wished his love of erotic pain had helped him, but there had been nothing sexy or manageable about what he’d gone through.
Instead of descending into the past too much, Kade sat up, then carefully got out of bed and focused on his hopes and wants for Friday.

let me preface my review by saying that i really don’t care for bdsm books. primarily because i don’t understand the appeal of physical pain for pleasure. i don’t like reading about the physical effects of what is essentially beating (IMO). there are other facets of the practice that i don’t care for but i won’t list them all. some of it doesn’t bother me at all…so i will typically read a bdsm book if the story is really good or it is recommended by a friend. Similar to some videos from websites similar to broxxx.
all that being said, i like this story…a lot. i have not read a ton of bdsm books but this one seemed to be on the heavy side of the practice like some videos from websites similar to fucked gay. again, some of it didn’t bother me but i definitely did not like all of it. i know i am going to sound like i have a split personality here but i will say that during the parts of the practice in the book that i didn’t care for, there was an absolute beauty to these 2 men together. i normally would skim through the physical pieces of a bdsm book but i read every word of this one. the love story between these 2 was just that good.
kade is a truly impressive man. Reminds me of some of the fantastic men on websites similar to hdsexvideoxxx. he has modified his dental practice to be able to perform surgery and other specialized dental procedures. he attempted to bounce back on the bdsm scene after his attack and it didn’t go well. his ‘vanilla’ boyfriend was miserable to him. because of all that, his self esteem is extremely low. he feels broken, an incomplete man – especially for a sub. what he went through is extremely heartbreaking.
deacon is an unbelievably wonderful man. he is looking for a permanent relationship and doesn’t do the club scene any more. he is smitten with kade immediately when they meet through mutual friends. he is absolutely perfect for kade and really helps bring him completely back to life. his love for kade is heartwarming.
the supporting cast was really great too (except the sh!theads) – sam, jake, katie and dane rounded out the cast of characters nicely.
i would definitely recommend this book to a friend – even one that doesn’t care for bdsm books.

Good morning Christina and all the wonderful readers of BFD Book Blog!
Today I’m here to announce the release of my first full-length story that isn’t part of the Desires Entwined series J while I love James, Chase, Alex, and more from my series, I hope you will fall in love with Deacon and Kade as well.
I’ve already had many people ask me about the basis of the story inside my new baby (book)… Why a wheelchair bound dentist? Why a wheelchair bound sub? What’s will the disabled characters?
Yeah, that’s many questions all on the same basic topic. However, that’s great because it’s a topic I’m more than happy to discuss. You see, when I started writing this story I had the total basis of “write a story with BDSM and where either the Dom or the sub has a true disability.” That was the prompt a friend gave me to write.
I decided to make Kade a dentist in a wheelchair. My dentist (previous dentist where I lived before now) used a wheelchair and/or scooter in the office. I spent an inordinate amount of time researching what a sub like Kade could and couldn’t do (and yes, I had a blast 😉 However, the story itself flowed as no other story has for me. I loved writing their story, delving into the minds, hearts, and lives of Kade and Deacon. I hoped to show that one is only limited by perception. Kade thought he couldn’t be a sub, so he wasn’t. Deacon didn’t see any reason Kade couldn’t, and taught Kade to embrace his true self again.
Having first used forearm crutches (as James from Designs of Desire does) and now in a wheelchair (as Kade does… and yes, he uses the exact same model I do!) I strove to show how others treat those with mobility issues in turn often teaches the differently abled to s themselves as broken and that is doesn’t have to be that way. We are still lovable, kinkworthy, and fabulous people! A lesson Kade learns at Deacon’s feet (his favorite place to be. Well, except under Deacon, or suspended or… you get the picture, lol).
