Jason knew Candice’s biggest Christmas wish was to remember the past eighteen years. As Thanksgiving approached, Candice retreated further within herself. Jason enlist the help of their family and friends to grant Candice’s wish. Each wrote their cherished memories and sealed them in containers. The morning after Thanksgiving Candice awakened to find fifty numbered tins. When Christmas day arrived, will Candice be able to tell everyone thanks for the memories?

On Jason’s birthday the year you two got married, I received a beautiful arrangement of flowers. I was surprised at getting flowers out of the blue. When it connected that it was Jason’s birthday, I thought, Oh, how sweet, he sent his mom flowers. Yeah, I should have known better. The card read simply, Thank you for Jason, and was signed Candice. Every year on Jason’s birthday, I received another bouquet of flowers.
The year Rissa was born, a box of chocolates came with the flowers, and the card read, I had no idea, Thank you for Jason, Candice. The year Sybany was born, the flowers and chocolates were accompanied by a bottle of wine. The card read, Were you vying for sainthood? I laughed because you still had no idea what was to come. If the kids were anything like Jason, you hadn’t seen anything yet. By the time Dawson arrived, the usual delivery came but there would always be some unique little something added.
You always do such thoughtful things for those around you. I’m glad we have a chance to give something precious back to you.
