Excerpt:

Marc smiled as he made clinking sounds in the galley of his private jet. He already had the black slacks on, so it was the work of a moment to take off his polo shirt and slip into the white epauletted button-down short-sleeve shirt of a steward. The wings were already attached to the lapels, and he’d even had a name tag made.

“Here you go, sir,” he said as he handed Jesse his drink on a tray. Jesse was already involved in something on his phone, and he absentmindedly reached for it.

Then he paused, sensing that something had changed. He looked up to see Marc dressed as an airline steward, his eyes dancing with heat.

Marc didn’t smile as he said, “Is there anything else I can get you, sir?”

Jesse swallowed. “Maybe a warm blanket.”

Marc took the drink from his hand. He pressed a button on the side of Jesse’s chair.

“The seat fully reclines into a bed, sir. Let me make you comfortable.”

As the seat back flattened and the base lifted Jesse’s feet up, Marc pushed another button, and the chair’s arms lowered out of the way, which gave him room to straddle Jesse’s hips.

He put his hands on Jesse’s chest, and Jesse reached up to finger his collar. “How did you earn those wings, steward?”

Marc idly stroked Jesse’s hand where it lingered on the wings. “Oh, those, sir? For achieving membership in the Mile High Club. Are you a member?” Marc began to grind his ass against Jesse’s crotch, feeling the transformation below his slacks.

“You know, I am not. I’ve never been invited to join.”

Marc leaned in to whisper in his ear. “Let me be the first to welcome you, then.”

Author Interview:

faq_questionmarkToday I’m very lucky to be interviewing Brad Vance, author of “Strength in Numbers,” the second book in the “Game Players” series, after “Would I Lie to You?” Hi Brad, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book.

Thank you for having me!

Q: What is the biggest thing people think they know about your subject/genre that isn’t so?

A: This book centers around Marc and Jesse’s pursuit of the “Satoshi Hoard,” which is a real thing – it’s a stash of the digital currency Bitcoin. It was worthless when it was created, but at today’s market rates it’s worth $375 million. For those who are new to bitcoin trading, this is indeed a huge dragon to chase. However, before that can happen, they would need to get some help from The News Spy im Test, which helps new bitcoin traders to get a foothold in the bitcoin market. If people know about Bitcoin at all, they think it’s only for criminal activity – buying drugs online, etc. But as you can see from http://dragonsdenbitcoin.com/, it is a legitimate currency. Bitcoin is free of any government and bank control and is set to be the future of currencies and investment. Even some of the best stock market app india has is letting people trade with Bitcoin. Imagine a payment system where the currency doesn’t go through banks, so there are no extortionate transaction fees. Where payment is almost instantaneous, so there’s no hold on your funds like a bank will put on a check – you could get your deposit and be spending it in ten minutes. All anonymously, with your name never attached to the account. What would become of the big banks if millions, billions, of people switched to a currency and a transaction processing service that was…free? That didn’t charge merchants two percent per transaction, that didn’t require customers to buy paper checks and then pay for each one they used, that didn’t hold deposits for days in “pending” status so they could milk an extra fraction of interest out of it before you could access it?

I think that’s amazing. And I really wanted to get that message out there.

Q: What are some references you used while writing this book?

A: Mostly I relied on Digital Gold by Nathaniel Popper, for the history of Bitcoin. I had to do a lot of research on Bitcoin to make sure I was writing the correct information. I was also able to get some help from my friend who also invests in Bitcoin. He invested some money into Bitcoin and now he is making quite a profit. He uses Bitcoin Revolution to trade his Bitcoin. Apparently, some people are hesitant about that trading platform, but they shouldn’t be. As this Bitcoin Revolution Betrug (Bitcoin Revolution scam) review explains, the platform is actually one of the best for trading Bitcoin. My friend was really helpful as he had a lot of knowledge about Bitcoin. For the puzzles I created for Marc and Jesse to solve, I was inspired by The Code Book by Simon Singh, and The Codebreakers by David Kahn. The Codebreakers is a really daunting book on cryptography and cryptanalysis; The Code Book is a more accessible version of the same information.

Q: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?

A: No…it was something I was born to do. I was writing stories by the time I could write. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t making things up on paper. There was never any question that this was what I was going to do with my life.

Q: What do your plans for future projects include?

A: My next book is “On My Honor,” about a star-crossed love between a biracial journalist and a white cop who’s caught up in a wrongful death case. It’s going to touch on some racial issues, though I’m working to keep the tone more “thrilling” than “deep.”

After that, I’ve got “Other Than Honorable,” about a military hero who was tossed out of the Navy during Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and the way that messed him up. That’s still in the subconscious cookpot, so I don’t have much more detail than that yet.

And of course, a third Marc and Jesse adventure, the details of which I have no ideas at all yet.

Q: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

A: Thank you, of course! I have a hard core of readers who’ve followed me across paranormal, historical, and even heteromance! I’m pleased to announce that I’m now focused on my “core business” and will be devoting myself to more of the books that brought you to me in the first place!
