He’s her patient. She’s his doctor. They shouldn’t. But God, do they want to.
Camden Harris, the famously hot, hulk of a footballer is laid up in a London hospital. But his busted knee doesn’t stop him from running his well-practiced game on Indie Porter—his redheaded spitfire of a doctor. She’s not his type, not even close. But she could be the perfect distraction from the soul-crushing damage this injury could cost him.
Indie’s tired of her naivety putting a target on her back. As a gifted child, she’s let her education take the front seat her whole life. But a fling with a footballer like Camden might be just what she needs to grab life by the balls.
And he could be the perfect guy for the plan she’s been sitting on for over two years.
But when feelings make a final play, there’s no amount of medicine that can heal the damage to their hearts.
This is my first book by this author. I totally loved it and the cover makes me happy. It’s one of those books I kept sneaking off to read another chapter. At home, at work.
British. Check. Sports hunks. Check. Twins. HELLLO, check. Doctor/ patient romance. Check. Funny, wacky, hot. Triple check.
This book checked all my boxes. I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and the way Camden and Indie evolved. He’s injured and a bit cocky, she’s his doctor and a bit reserved. His whole life has been football (soccer), his family is a football family, his injury could change everything he thought he wanted and knew about himself. She’s inexperienced, a genius, and tries to remain professionally distant, but hell, he’s hot. Then, they make an arrangement. Cue tearing down each other’s walls and building something great together.
Camden’s family was awesome. His brothers? Greatness. Indie’s bestie. Brilliant.
The dialogue was so real, so snappy, so wacky, freaking funny. Seriously, the word “c@ck” was used over 30 times in one way or another. Yes. I counted.
I want to read it again because I loved it so much. And now that I know his sister has a book, I’m on it. Bring on the other Harris bros books. I’m ready.
