Jaden Matthews has never known his father or his father’s family, but he’s about to get a crash course on having siblings. With the recent passing of his grandmother, he’s discovered he has three half-brothers and part ownership of a gym. In Serenity, Florida. His life in New York has hit a rocky road, so maybe this is the vacation he needs to get things back on track.
Chase Michaels lost his future in a car crash almost ten years ago, and he’s made a new one for himself in Serenity. One that doesn’t include getting emotionally involved with people who are just passing through. But Jaden makes his common sense flee and his gut react. He’s got one month with the man who made him believe in taking a chance.

This is my first book by this author and although it took a few minutes to get used to her writing, it was good. This is a quick, sweet, somewhat low angst read. The plot was unique for me although a bit predictable.
I liked all the characters a lot – even the supporting cast; Jaden’s brothers were awesome and I’d love to read more about them. I’m not sure which MC is my favorite of the two…they complemented each other perfectly. Jaden was high strung and a bit anxious about life. He’s always been a pleaser and done things for everyone but himself. He seems very unsure of himself when we first meet him but as he relaxes during his time in Serenity he discovers who he really is and wants to be. He grows quite a bit in the story…finally standing up for himself to everyone who has railroaded him throughout his life. I love his quirky, somewhat dorky side; he has a big heart that he’s finally figuring out how to use.
Chase has been through quite a bit and has finally figured out how do what makes him happy. He’s a bit of a contradiction – larger than life at times while shyly awkward at others. He’s decided he has everything he needs in life and is thrown for a bit of a loop when Jaden awkwardly crashes into his life. He’s surprisingly sweet and romantic.
This seems more like an HFN but I guess it’s is an HEA. I don’t feel like their story is finished but I don’t see any notes about this being the start of a series.
