Review Tour Stop including Giveaway – To Love And To Cherish by Addison Albright

This is the same vocal performer as in the first 2 books…not one of my favorites, but I’m picky. He did show some good emotion but there wasn’t much change between characters voices and there was a couple of times I was confused about who was speaking until it was called out.

Again I’m torn on this story…I think maybe the author’s writing style and I just don’t agree. I apologize if this is a bit spoilery but I don’t know how else to share my thoughts. I would have liked to read a little more about Emmett’s divorce and sexual orientation discovery. Did the wife cheat and then Emmett had an epiphany about his sexual orientation? Did the wife cheat because Emmett wasn’t an involved partner because of this discovery? Did he always have a suspicion but wanted to hide it? It’s mentioned that he’s happier now than he’s ever been…I’m guessing because he finally knows/accepts the truth and is in a ‘relationship’ that works for him. I don’t like that we’re expected to just accept the marriage didn’t work and he now knows he’s gay.

The way Emmett and Nash get together is iffy at best. The whole marriage of convenience thing didn’t work…especially as the story progresses and Emmett hints at feeling more. Emmett was NEVER on Nash’s radar because he understandably thought Emmett was straight and then in 3 weeks BAM…life-long love happens.

I do like Emmett…I just wish I knew more about him. I love his relationship with his grandfather. He was very patient and understanding with Nash while he recovered from the accident. As far as I can tell, he seems good for Nash. I still don’t like Nash much after listening to this follow up. He’s ok…just not my favorite. I’m glad he comes to terms with what happened with Sam. In the long run, I think he’ll be good for Emmett and they’ll have the love of a lifetime.

I’m clearly in the minority with this story…so take my review as it works for you.
