just when you think this is going to be another pretty woman, cinderella/billionaire bad-boy book…
lacey is a complete badass. she appears to lack self-confidence but when it really counts, she has it in spades. and that intrigues gavin. no woman has ever treated him the way lacey does and oddly, she has his company’s best interests at heart. at first i thought this was going to be an epic love story and then BAM! – cliffhanger with a completely unexpected ending (and i am never surprised by books’ endings).
the writing at times was brilliant and i laughed out loud. i wanna be like lacey when i grow up. and i want to have book 2 right now because i have GOT to see what happens next!
