This book was so horribly delicious, I don’t even know where to begin. So, I guess let me look at the characters. Tyler, Tyler, Tyler. Dayum. I can’t even. Yes, I pictured him as a hottie, but I just loved how he was well developed. This was a leading man with substance and grit that did not feel gratuitous. I loved feeling his faith, his devotion, his love for his family, his devastation over the tragedy in his life, his raw need, his struggle as he grappled with right and wrong, with love for his faith vs love/need for poppy….UGH! This book was just raw to me. I could FEEL the grit! I could FEEL his struggle. I could FEEL his need! I could feel him grappling and rationalizing his need of her! I cant! It was too much. It was too good! Mrs. Simone really did an unbelievable job making me feel it, does that make sense? Alrighty then, moving on to Poppy. She was a strong and conflicted. I really appreciated her vulnerability yet head confidence. She had substance, she was a smart woman looking for something. I dont know if it was Poppy’s flaws or her desire to seek something, that made me like her. I dont know, I just did.
This storyline was just flawless to me. I am not even sure if this would be considered erotica, I am not sure how these things are typically classified. I will see that the “sexy time” side of this story was……..H.A.W.T. It was done SOOOO well, I can’t even begin to explain it.

So, why is this 5 stars to me, well…….honestly, I wont forget. This story, mainly because of it’s risque topic, is NOT one that is forgettable. It is the taboo one that won’t blend into the background.
It was just truly a remarkably well written unforgettable novel that I would most definitely recommend to my friends.

Now, that being said, I wonder what the catholic church will think? Scandalous!
