Synopsis:

What if you found him, the one who was put on this earth for you? He was your perfect partner, your soul mate. Your life with him was more than you could have ever hoped for. The two of you created an amazing family full of so much love.

I did. And it was everything.

Then, one day, I woke up, and he was gone. They were all gone.

I can’t accept it. I’m stuck in a reality that isn’t mine, aching for the life I lost, one that made up the very fabric of my soul.

How do I find my future when my past won’t stop pulling me under? I’m drowning, struggling to breathe in this existence where nothing makes sense. It might be crazy, and I might be as well.

But if you’d experienced the joy of a once-in-a-lifetime love, you’d be chasing memories, too.

4.5 stars.
Mia wakes up from a coma. A six-month coma. She’s not the same woman who, on the night before her wedding, gets in a horrific car accident. Before, she and Greyson, together for 8 years, were a couple and supposedly happy. Post-coma, she and Aiden are in love, married with kids. The only problem, Aiden and their little family doesn’t exist except in her mind. She no longer has an emotional attachment to her “old” life, she doesn’t love her fiancé Greyson anymore. She feels complete disassociated from that life. Greyson and her family believe she’s ill, that she has dreamed up another life while in a coma. Regardless, crazy or not, she takes a leap of faith and decides to find Aiden, but she has no last name, no address, no identifying details, only memories she is chasing of her green-eyed soul mate.

I wanted her to find Aiden, I wanted him to be real. I had no love for Greyson, much like Mia, and found him to be selfish and unsupportive. Is it fair? Maybe not, but I did not like him. Mia’s mother wanted her to stay with Greyson no matter what, even when Mia caught him in a compromising situation with a coworker, her mom still told her to stay. Not a big fan of mom’s advice, but it illustrates why Mia stayed with him so long, thinking she had the best and couldn’t do better.

This book was really two parallel stories in one, Mia’s life before Aiden and her life after him. I found myself holding my breath, is Aiden real, did she go to heaven, did she time travel, is this a premonition, is it fate? So it’s fiction, so it’s unbelievable, I still had faith, I believed in Aiden. I loved the snowflakes, I loved the fudge, all the “memories” were beautiful, passionate, and worth fighting for.

I really liked his book. The writing was so fluid, not too much description vs dialogue. It made me feel – angst, passion, anticipation, heartbreak, desperation, true love. Everyone needs this kind of romance in their lives, we all should be so lucky to find “Aiden.”
