Noah and Jordan. The Air Force pilot and the free-spirited clothing store owner. One lives in Oklahkma, the other in Florida. They meet in Vegas and are overwhelmingly attracted to each other. I love how Jordan sees her life as “Before Noah” and “After Noah.”
Jordan was so quirky, strong and open sexually. She knew what she wanted. She was the perfect match for Noah. Holy crap. Everything about him was sexy. Everything. I’m ordering my husband a flight suit!
Folks, the pull was so strong between them, it lit up the pages. While there was chemistry, it wasn’t insta-love but yet it kind of was. Both characters are in their 30s, both have established careers. Both want to find the one and settle down. Both wanted to make it work between them. But, his job was dangerous, required him to leave at a moment’s notice and dictated where he lived. She wasn’t interested in living far from her family and a nomadic life. Cue the conflict….and emotions. No spoilers – The angst did a number on me. Wrecked me.
I really enjoyed how the author brought it all together, peppering it with hot and spicy bits. The secondary characters, especially Easy (yes, Easy), were awesome and helped move the story along in all the right ways. Bring on Thor and Easy’s books.
