Jagger - eBook cover

Prospect…

Fighter…

Killer…

In order to prove his loyalty, Knights Corruption prospect, Jagger Blakeslee, readily agreed to immerse himself in situations that weren’t meant for the faint of heart.

Every time, he stepped up.

Every time, he did what was asked.

Never questioning… until he met her.

Kena Prescott wasn’t like everyone else. Leading a simple yet lonely life, she preferred to live in the background, avoiding potential heartache by never bringing attention to herself or the challenge she faced on a daily basis.

Until a fated encounter with a stranger thrust her into a world she had never known existed.

He’d come to her rescue, but in the end, would she be the one to save him?

4 of 5 Stars

Jagger.

This is the third book in the Knights Corruptions MC series. The story of Jagger and Kena.

This is absolutely an MC book. There are very dark parts in the story but compared to the other two books in the series, the love story is sweeter. Both main characters are in their early twenties. They are polar opposites and insecure in different ways, but drawn to each other on a deeper level. In their first meeting, Jagger is overwhelmed by her and explains she makes him feel dizzy and relevant. That’s just awesome.

Jagger and Kena’s love story faces many obstacles though: Kena’s physical challenge, how that’s impacted her ability to connect with others, Jagger’s emotional scars, Jagger’s place in the club, how his association with the club impacts Kena, both of their insecurities…the build is slow and steady. And steamy.

The writing was good but a little cheesy sometimes. It’s not a criticism, just a surprise. It’s cute. Jagger’s young and his second guessing himself and internal dialogue revealed his insecurities and his desire for acceptance and love. He’s young but he knows what he wants, Kena, a patch, and an HEA.

While you don’t need to read the other books to follow the story, it helps and adds a lot of depth. By the end, some loose ends are wrapped up but others still remain with club business. No spoilers, but Kena goes through a lot.

The secondary characters were interesting. I would like to see Tripp and Ryder get their stories. And Kena’s sister Braylen, she’s a feisty one…and a good match for one of Jagger’s brothers.

A good story. Really liked the dual POV. Loved the cover. All the covers in this series are perfect.
