Unprepared, ill-equipped, and with no example to look back on, Ty and Chase embarked on a journey to build a family for Ava and Luc that would far exceed anything they dreamed of for themselves. Two years later, they’ve succeeded beyond their wildest expectations, but there’s still a couple of things missing…and they’re ready to make them happen.
Bad boy biker Trick wouldn’t hesitate to fight for those he loves, but Ty knows it will take more than violence to win this war. Willfully submissive Chase has the utmost faith in his Master, but when he sees Ty struggling with demons from his past, it will be his quiet, unbending support that will see them through. Jumping through the loopholes of family court, they are only one event shy of making it all official and neither are willing to wait another second to check it off the list.
Clearing the path for adoption should reassure them, but it will take their cast of well-meaning friends and the occasional slap upside the head before they realize that the ties that bind them together are forged in a love that can never be taken away.
If you have followed my relationship with Jessie, you know I ALWAYS have questions after reading anything she writes (even the snippets or slices of life on her Patreon page) and we don’t always see eye to eye on things. So here are my questions and Jessie’s answers!
BFD: Why did you lead up to a conversation with Clay/Tory/Evan and Ty/Chase, but then didn’t include that? Is it part of the trio’s story?
JG: Because this book isn’t about Clay, Tory, or Evan. It’s about Ty and Chase and the ties that bind them to the growing circle of friends/family they’ve acquired. Those scenes—and the one with Chris and Owen—were more to illustrate how far this one very insular pair have grown. And, because I’m not the total meanie you make me out to be, it will very much be part of Laying Claim (oh, look, Clay’s book has a title ? ) – Finally! We have a title and THANK YOU for including that in my trio’s book! I’ve been waiting ssssssssoooooooo llllllllllooooooonnnnnggggg to get that book! (yes I’m whining)
BFD: Does Kyle want kids????? Will we get to see Saul comforting him at some point or is it going to stay off page?
JG: That specific moment between Saul and Kyle will remain off page. However, the topic itself will be revisited in Saving Saul. That’s all you’re getting there. – and thus the name Queen of Tease…
BFD: Where the fuck did this fascination with Ric come from??? That came out of nowhere!
JG: No, it really didn’t. Reread Ty’s chapter in Talk Dirty to Me (runs to re-read TDtM!), he has very strong feelings for Ric (and Davin) – friendship, affection, and protectiveness not unlike his feelings for Clay’s family. As for sharing that fantasy with Chase – a good majority of couples fantasize together. So, why not Ty and Chase who have so few boundaries to begin with? Of all the couples in all my books, these are the two most likely to have dirty thoughts about EVERY other character. Either way, Ty and Chase answer the question of what will happen with this fantasy, so you can drop that guard. It’s really as harmless as those two paragraphs.
That said, the friendship between the Malones and Bennetts is much more than what we’ve seen to date, and you’ll get a bigger glimpse of why this is important in Forever More. Then you’ll have a whole other set of questions, so I’m going to end this answer right here. – I cannot wait to have more questions for you Jessie!
5 of 5 Stars
Le sigh…don’t tell Ty but I love his mushy side that he thinks he doesn’t show but totally does. I love seeing that he’s human and can be vulnerable. I love that he sometimes needs Chase to be strong. I love that the reconnect on every level in this book.
The ceremony was absolutely perfect.
Luc is going to be JUST.LIKE.TY. and I cannot wait to see him grow up!
We get to see my trio (Clay, Tory & Evan) again a lot and get some pretty big hints about their future. Have I mentioned how much I love them? I need their book right now!
The supporting cast we see is fantastic as always. Definitely a must read!

About Jessie G
Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I’d begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: to be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it’s a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and a full schedule of releases planned for the next two years, it’s been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics, and happily ever after. I’m a lover of strong secondary characters, and series filled with families—biological or chosen. All are themes you’ll find throughout my books.
