Ryan is this big, bad, possessive alpha male with a wicked sense of humor and a sweet, Southern vulnerable side. He’s ridiculously smart when he needs to be and fools everyone into thinking he’s not which only works to his advantage. And when he goes after something, he is ALL IN.
Ms. Geissinger gives us another strong bada$$ female lead. Her gruesome history has made her the resilient woman she is today. It’s amazing she’s made it through everything that’s been thrown her way. She’s just as funny as Ryan and the perfect match for him in every way. I absolutely love them together and hope we see them in future books.
The suspense story was really entertaining. There were quite a few surprises in this book and it was not predictable at all which I loved. Normally I can figure out what’s going to happen early on but not with this one. I’m left with a few questions still…I’m not sure if they’ll be answered or we just won’t ever get the answers.
We get quite a bit of Connor and Tabby in this one which I also loved.
I’m anxious to see who the next book will be about but I can assure you it will be an auto-buy, must read for me.
