Kason and Adaline.
From the moment they met, they started to fall. Neither of them predicted just how far the drop would be, though.
Loving Adaline was all Kason had ever wanted to do. But layer by layer, he started to unravel, forcing Adaline to face an addiction she never could’ve imagined.
This is what happens when one person loves beyond the craving and the other craves beyond the loving.
4 of 5 Stars
This one is super hard to review, because the E.K. Blair really keeps you guessing and turning. I haven’t read her books in while, but this one def less dark than what I used to seeing from Mrs. Blair. Which, to be honest, is one the main reasons I liked this one, WAS because it was SOOO different! So Props!
Both characters are a little bit younger than what I have read from Blair before. They are both high schoolers, although this is NOT A YA book! Proceed with caution. Both Kason and Adeline were very well written, and incredibly developed. Blair did a terrific job of drawing her characters out for us. I really enjoyed Adeline, but Kason……Kason………Kason had quite a few layers, that did not disappoint. Again, perfectly surprised. The love story that Blairs lays out of us, was exactly what we all wished we would have had as a first experience with love/loving/falling in love.
If this seems vague, its because it is……..Book does end in a cliffhanger, and to go into the story too much, would absolutely ruin it for you. However, that being said…………I NEED THAT NEXT BOOK YESTERDAY!

A former first grade teacher with an imagination that runs wild. Daydreaming and zoning out is how she was often found in high school. Blair tends to drift towards everything dark and moody. Give her a character and she will take pleasure in breaking them down, digging into their core to find what lies underneath.
Aside from writing, E.K. Blair finds pleasure in music, drinking her Starbucks in peace, and spending time with her friends. She’s a thinker, an artist, a wife, a mom, and everything in between.
