Book 3 of Waiting on the Sidelines was so much of everything I had no idea I wanted!! It was fantastic. UGH! I didn’t even know we were gonna get this glimpse into Nolan and Reed into adulthood!
Nolan and Reed………….. 16 years later. WOW!! Man does this book ever portray the awkwardness, avoidance, skirting around, hardships that come with marriage. It doesn’t gloss over it, and I LOVE IT. It was real. It was just so beautifully written.
16 years of marriage, a teenage daughter, an NFL seasoned quarterback hanging on, a wife dealing with the scares that must come from being scared from knowing your husband has a dangerous job, life’s ups, life’s downs……..and I just don’t know that my going on and on can do Ginger’s newest baby any justice.
It is not new news that I love the author. However, the thing about each of her books, is that there is so much growth. The Hail Mary is NO different. I loved seeing the progression in Nolan and Reed, in the same way I love seeing Ginger’s progression.
What I will say, please read the previous 2. If it’s been an a century like it had been for me, do your self a favor and re-read them. It honestly made the journey that much sweeter.
