Oh man I loved this book. It was so…unexpected. It was predictable-ish but it truly didn’t go the way I expected and I really liked that.
So, the predictable part of the story revolves around Pax offering to help Elijah learn how to flirt and become more social which eventually escalates to friends with benefits. The surprising part was how this eventually plays out with entertaining banter, hot sexual chemistry sweet emotional bonding and low angst. I loved Pax’s nicknames for Elijah. I loved how enamored Pax is by Elijah. I loved Pax’s surprisingly romantic side and Elijah’s surprisingly dirty side. I love when Elijah calls Pax on his BS and his sheer honesty. These guys just work.
I might be interested in a story with Hudson and Bishop – Bishop intrigued me, but Hudson pissed me off. I’d definitely be interested in a story about Theo. Alex’s book I would read, but it would have to be a really strong story to get me invested in him.
