My rating: 4 of 5 stars
the opening scene had me hooked on this book. all i’m going to say is gen won me over right then.
there are so many things to love about this book. most of all is the cast of characters. i love the banter among all the characters especially when they are all together. i really can’t tell you who my favorite is which means this series should be absolutely fantastic. there is no way to touch on each character, just know they are all really fantastic.
lucas is really fantastic…he’s a laid-back ex-rocker who loves his family and friends. i like that he loves gen so much and has a geniune relationship with her. i love that he shows her how to open up and be free in a relationship and what a real relationship is all about.
gen is really entertaining and although she had a crappy upbringing she deals fairly well with everything that is thrown at her.
the reason this is not a 5 star rating is a couple of cliches are used in the book and were a bit much. overall the writing is good and the story is mostly unique.

Raised on the shores of New Jersey, T.J. began reading romance novels at the age of fourteen when she picked up Elda Minger’s The Dare. From that day forward she hasn’t stopped reading romance novels of all subgenres. She focused on her career, working in a corporate office during the day, and read a novel every single night. One day when pausing to breathe between novels, T.J. found herself married and pregnant! After being laid off and giving birth to her son, she threw herself into being a stay at home mom.
