Synopsis: Sadie Simpson thought the tragic loss of her boyfriend right as she started college was enough to send her over the edge, until she lost both of her parents a year later. Trying to figure out her place in the world, she moves to the safest place she can think of: her family’s cottage on the East Coast. Determined to start a new life and finish college, Sadie resolves that she needs to try to open up her heart again, despite the gripping fear that surrounds her.
Jake Dunn is all alone, and he likes it that way. No one can hurt him, and he can just try to forget the bomb that was dropped on him. After what he’s been through, he’s shut out everyone around him. When a chance encounter puts Jake in Sadie’s path, she can’t help but wonder about him.
