this is such a great story! i’ve been on a bit of a military kick lately and i absolutely love the story of the broken man being put back together with the help of a man that loves him.
when we meet xander, he is in the hospital recovering from his injuries sustained overseas. and he clearly is suffering from PTSD and depression and a huge case of i’m just done. and mackey just comes barreling in to take over so he can help xander completely heal. i’m not going to lie, there were a couple of really rough bits in the story. xander is severely depressed…and just doesn’t know what the hell to do and doesn’t want to ask for help from anyone. mackey is so good with him and loves him so much – it is so sweet and heartwarming. there is healing for both men and a mending of their relationship.
the added epilogue at the end is so perfect! if you didn’t love mackey before that, you definitely did then!!
