I really enjoyed this book. I confess, the title put me off a little bit. This is a biker book and I thought because of that title, the story would be somewhat candy-coated. Ummmm, no, thank god. Cali and Zev both had secrets and both were broken, scarred by love. I like that Cali was a “spitfire” and I loved her back and forth with Zev. And, Zev, he was an Alpha male, taking over and taking charge, but Cali was Alpha herself. Zev’s inner monologue as he dealt with Cali and his feelings for her was great.
This book surprised me with its personality and its depth. I stayed up late to finish it. FYI – I did not guess Zev’s dark secret. I thought I knew it because there were several clues, but there’s a twist.
4 stars. The writing was good, there were a couple of deep feel moments and some laugh out loud moments too. The chemistry between the main characters was sizzling, but I felt the story line with Cali’s addiction fell flat and was not resolved. This was such a big secret given Zev’s past and his confession.

She is also an avid reader reading anything that catches her eye. She started figure skating at the age of thirty and has skated in eight ice shows, it’s her second love. While she’s managing her load of kids and loving her adoring artist husband all these alpha tattooed biker dudes race through her mind making her run for her computer! She loves her characters as they are real people, loving to write as if it were the only air to breathe!
