Hi everyone, and thank you to BFD Book Blog for hosting me today. Our host today asked me to talk about two things in life I’m very passionate and outspoken about, Autism Awareness and LGBT 
rights. Since April is Autism Awareness month, I’ll talk about that one first! I run an annual Autism Awareness Auction on my blog and facebook page every year, this year will be the fourth one for me. It is just a wonderful thing for so many authors I admire and respect to not only donate signed books and unique series inspired gifts for this auction, but they also pay shipping out of their own pockets. EVERY dime of the money donated through this auction goes directly to the Autism Awareness campaign. As a mother of an autistic child I know firsthand how important research and continued support for this condition is.
This year I have close to twenty different authors offering up a ton of great signed paperback books and one publishing company that is donating an $80 giftcard for their online store! It’s such an amazing show of support to this cause that is very near and dear to my heart, it makes me a little blurry eyed.
I’m also a huge supporter of the LGBT community. One of my very best friends, my brother from another mother is gay and I absolutely loath the ignorance, hatred and grief he has gotten in life, simply because he chooses to love men instead of women. Love is love and it should be celebrated regardless. To show my support every year during Pride month, I donate a portion of my book sales to a local LGBT center that specialize in support for LGBT teens and brings a lot of awareness to our community specifically about HIV 
awareness, Resource Center Dallas. I’ve also signed up for an anthology with several other LGBT authors that will release this summer with all proceeds being donated to an LGBT worthy cause, I’m excited to get that story written.
And to show my support while having a little fun, this year I was able to head out to the NOH8 photo shoot in Dallas and get my picture taken by Adam. It was such a fun day! I got to meet both Adam and Jeff, bought some NOH8 merchandise and had a lovely photo shoot. Did I mention Adam gave me a hug after he took my pictures? He is just the nicest man, always smiling and bouncing.

Standing outside the door to the room Kaden barely occupied, Aiyan placed his hands on either side of him planting him against the wall. He stared at Kaden for several moments before he smiled, and kissed him. Kaden pulled back and shot a warning glare at him.
“You should go.” Kaden whispered breathlessly. “Goodnight Aiyan.”
Aiyan grinned that crooked smile and planted a kiss on his neck and whispered, “Go where, here?” He moved up and nipped Kaden’s ear lobe with his teeth. “Or here?” he asked. Kaden was beginning to slide down the wall as his legs turned to jelly.
Aiyan stood back laughing, his eyes glistened and he smiled. “Goodnight Kaden, I love you.” Placing a quick peck on his lips, he turned to go.
“And I you.” Kaden said and closed the door behind him before sinking to the floor, no longer able to support himself. He ran the tips of his fingers across his still tingling lips, and smiled.
