Never judge a sexy man by his cover.
Detective Beau Williams is hard-working, dedicated, and professional. He enjoys the finer things in life, but with his heavy caseload that includes what Beau suspects is a new serial killer, he has no time to enjoy much of anything. What the tall redhead needs is someone to shake him up a little.
Investigative Technician Austin Kent never met a snarky joke he didn’t like – or a set of stairs that couldn’t trip him up. One night after a devastating episode at work, Austin sees something else he likes – the handsome detective he’s seen around the station whom he’s always wondered about. But after he makes a drunken fool of himself in front of Detective Williams, he’s sure there’s no hope.
Beau and Austin’s worlds collide right away when Austin is sent to pick up some evidence at the station. Amidst a myriad of twists and turns in the troubling serial killer style murders of Vegas conventioneers, Austin and Beau discover that there’s more to the other than they’d originally thought. There might even be more they’d like to give – unless the killer has the final say.

Excerpt:
Beau stepped away to turn on one of the bedside lamps then rushed back to Austin. They both worked on removing Beau’s clothing. Once Beau was down to his underwear, Austin couldn’t stop a moan from escaping at the sight of Beau’s impressive erection straining the fabric confining it. He dropped to his knees, grabbed Beau to him then mouthed his hard, heated cock through the cotton briefs. The smell of Beau’s arousal was strong—it combined with the sweat of the day and Austin leaked, his underwear soaking with his need.
Beau thrust gently, sighs falling from his lips. He carded his fingers through Austin’s hair, the touch both intimate and comforting at the same time. But Austin had to taste. He peeled off the briefs, Beau’s dick springing free and lightly smacking Austin’s cheek. It left a trace of Beau’s pre-cum there and Austin didn’t want to waste it. He swiped a finger across his skin then sucked it into his mouth. There was a bitter tang mixed with the salt of Austin’s own sweat.
Beau fisted one of his hands in Austin’s hair stronger but his words came out soft. “You like that, don’t you? Like to taste. Gonna fuck your mouth, you dirty boy.”
Holy mother of God.
Austin wrapped his lips around Beau’s cockhead, his flavor exploding on Austin’s tongue. He leisurely sampled him, memorizing everything he could about Beau’s rigid flesh in case he never had it in his mouth again. He sucked the full tip then dipped into the wide valley to tease Beau’s glans. He swirled his tongue a few times then opened up more, Beau’s soft steel filling the cavern of his mouth, swelling even more. Beau had picked up a slow rhythm, still holding onto his hair with one hand, caressing his cheek with the other.
“That’s it, very nice.” Beau thrust harder. “You want more?” His voice was throaty and thick.
Austin lifted his gaze and they locked eyes. He nodded as best he could with his lips encased around Beau’s thick cock. He opened as wide as he could, reaching up to grab the base of Beau’s shaft. Beau batted his hand away.
“No. Just your mouth. Let’s see how much you can take.”

Christina’s Review:
Justice Prevails by Morticia Knight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5 stars so rounding up to 4
i was so excited for beau’s story and i think i’m a little disappointed. the murder mystery seemed like a subplot and didn’t feel complete.
beau was surprisingly not as loveable in this book as the last one. he was kind of a jerk to austin at first…although he did redeem himself a little by helping austin when he was getting into a situation because he was drunk. beau was being a bit pretentious at first and completely discounted austin as a potential lover because he wasn’t refined enough. i thought his change of mind was a bit sudden, surprising and without any real reason. i did like how he handled austin once he realized austin’s fun-loving spirit was a good thing instead of a bad thing. there were glimpses then of the beau we saw in book 2. austin was really fun but somewhat immature…it was a hard sell that someone in the DA’s office would be as goofy as him. i liked his self esteem improvement but i would have liked to see more healing over the loss of his friend.
there were hints of dominant behavior from beau and submissive behavior from austin but that never really materialized. i’m not sure why it was part of the story.
i really liked getting more of parker and lonnie! and the cover is HOT as always.
i’m anxious to see if we’ll get more of this series and what is coming next.
About the author:
M/M Erotic Romance author Morticia Knight enjoys hot stories of men loving men forever after. They can be men in uniform, Doms and subs, rock stars or bikers – but they’re all searching for the one (or two!) who was meant only for them.
When not indulging in her passion for books, she loves the outdoors, film and music. Once upon a time she was the singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She is currently working on more installments of Sin City Uniforms and The Hampton Road Club, as well as the follow-up to Bryan and Aubrey’s story from Rockin’ the Alternative.
