My rating: 3 of 5 stars
this series has so much potential but it just seems way too rushed. i feel like i’m reading a story in fast forward and i’m not sure why. every attack by the bad guys seems forced…the flow of the story is jilted.
i like that christian and rick figured things out and i liked the story line of rick not remembering. the possibility of elliott is intriguing, although long term would be tricky with such a young daughter. all the characters are strong and killian is offering a really great possibility for a future story.
i thought book 2 was the best of the 3 and the least rushed (although not by much). i’m hopeful the author will slow things down a bit in the next book so it doesn’t feel like i read a book on fast forward.
